October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  This is the time we get  the greatest amount of information and resources about breast cancer and what we need to do to catch this disease early before it has an opportunity   to destroy a person’s chance for a long and healthy life.  This goes for both men and women.

If you have a mother, sister, wife, cousin, friend or even yourself - if you are a man - schedule a mammogram if you have never had one, schedule if you have not had one in 2009, or if you fall within the high risk for breast cancer category.  Also remember to do your monthly “at home” breast exams.  The experts say this is where most breast cancer lumps are caught in the early stages.

Here is a short video from the Komen For The Cure Group.  Breast cancer is something many women don’t want to think about or are partly afraid of - but it is something that if caught early may save your life!

Here at Lets Talk Home Security we’re all about being proactive and want to remind all women and men of the imporance of this testing.    Again, if you haven’t had your 2009 mammogram - schedule an exam now.  Remind those women in your life whom you love that if they haven’t had their 2009 mammogram to please schedule it today!!
